Please read these terms carefully before booking any service with Craften Studio.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between Craften Studio (“Studio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operated by its founder, and any individual or entity (“Client”, “you”, or “your”) who books, purchases, or uses any service offered by Craften Studio.

By booking a service, making a payment, signing a project agreement, or otherwise engaging with Craften Studio, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not proceed with any booking or engagement.

1. Definitions

In these Terms, the following definitions apply:

“Services”  means all photography, videography, editing, post-production, creative direction, and related content creation services offered by Craften Studio

“Project”  means any specific assignment, shoot, or creative brief agreed between Craften Studio and the Client

“Deliverables”  means the final photographs, videos, films, reels, or other content files produced by Craften Studio for the Client under a confirmed Project

“Booking Confirmation”  means written confirmation (by email, WhatsApp, or other written means) from Craften Studio that a Project has been accepted and scheduled

“Advance Payment”  means the deposit amount required to confirm and schedule a booking, as specified in these Terms and in the relevant package

“Raw Files”  means unedited original camera files, raw footage, or unprocessed photographs prior to post-production

“License”  means a non-exclusive, limited right granted to the Client to use Craften Studio’s Deliverables as specified in these Terms

“Copyright Transfer”  means the formal assignment of intellectual property ownership in Deliverables from Craften Studio to the Client, available as a paid add-on

2. Services and Bookings

2.1  All Services offered by Craften Studio are described on the Craften Studio website (craftenstudio.com). Service descriptions, package inclusions, and pricing are subject to change without prior notice, except where a Booking Confirmation has already been issued.

2.2  A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of the required Advance Payment and written Booking Confirmation from Craften Studio. Verbal agreements, informal discussions, or social media conversations do not constitute a confirmed booking.

2.3  Craften Studio reserves the right to decline any booking at its sole discretion, including but not limited to projects that conflict with the Studio’s values, capacity constraints, or scheduling limitations.

2.4  The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and pricing of each Project shall be agreed in writing prior to confirming the booking. Any changes to an agreed scope must be confirmed in writing by both parties.

2.5  Craften Studio operates as a creative direction studio. While we engage skilled photographers, videographers, and editors on a project basis, Craften Studio maintains full creative direction and quality control over all Deliverables.

3. Payment Terms

3.1  All prices quoted by Craften Studio are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of all applicable charges unless explicitly stated otherwise.

3.2  Craften Studio is not currently registered under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act. Accordingly, no GST is charged on Services at this time. Should the Studio become GST registered in the future, Clients will be notified and applicable tax will be added to future invoices.

3.3  Payment structure is as follows:

• Single Shoots — 50% Advance Payment at the time of booking confirmation; remaining 50% due before delivery of final files
• Monthly Subscription Plans — full monthly fee billed at the start of each billing cycle
• Wedding Packages — 30% at booking confirmation to secure the date; 40% one week before the event; 30% before final file delivery
• Custom and Campaign Projects — payment schedule to be agreed in writing at time of booking

3.4  Craften Studio accepts payment via UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), NEFT/RTGS/IMPS bank transfer, and credit or debit card. Payment details will be provided at the time of booking.

3.5  Final Deliverables will not be released until all outstanding payments have been received in full.

3.6  Late payment of any outstanding balance beyond 7 days from the agreed due date may result in a delay to delivery. Craften Studio reserves the right to suspend work on a Project until outstanding payments are cleared.

3.7  All payments made are non-refundable except as expressly stated in the Cancellation and Refund policy in Section 5 of these Terms.

4. Intellectual Property and Copyright

Craften Studio retains full copyright ownership of all photographs, videos, films, reels, and creative content produced under every project, unless a formal Copyright Transfer has been purchased as an add-on service.

4.1  All Deliverables created by Craften Studio are and shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of Craften Studio, protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 (India) and applicable international copyright conventions.

4.2  Upon receipt of full and final payment, Craften Studio grants the Client a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free License to use the Deliverables for the purposes agreed at the time of booking (personal use, social media, website, advertising, etc.) for an unlimited duration, unless otherwise specified in writing.

4.3  The License granted under Clause 4.2 does not include the right to:

• Sell, sublicense, or transfer the Deliverables to any third party
• Use the Deliverables for purposes materially different from those agreed at the time of booking without prior written consent from Craften Studio
• Remove, alter, or obscure any watermark, credit, or copyright notice applied by Craften Studio
• Claim ownership or authorship of the Deliverables

4.4  A full Copyright Transfer — permanently transferring ownership of the Deliverables from Craften Studio to the Client — is available as a paid add-on service. The fee for Copyright Transfer shall be agreed in writing and is charged in addition to the standard package price. Copyright Transfer takes effect only upon receipt of the full agreed fee.

4.5  Craften Studio retains the right to use any Deliverables produced for Clients as part of its portfolio, website, social media, and marketing materials, unless the Client has requested confidentiality in writing at the time of booking, or has purchased a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) from Craften Studio.

4.6  Raw Files are not included in any standard package and will not be delivered to the Client. Raw Files may be available as a paid add-on at Craften Studio’s sole discretion.

4.7  The Client warrants that all materials, branding, products, and content provided to Craften Studio for use in a Project are owned by the Client or that the Client has obtained all necessary rights and permissions. Craften Studio accepts no liability for any intellectual property infringement arising from Client-supplied materials.

5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

5.1  The Client may cancel a confirmed booking by providing written notice to Craften Studio via email or WhatsApp. Cancellations are subject to the following terms:

• Single Shoots cancelled 7 or more days before the scheduled shoot date — 50% refund of Advance Payment
• Single Shoots cancelled fewer than 7 days before the scheduled shoot date — no refund
• Monthly Subscription Plans — cancellation permitted with 7 days written notice before the next billing cycle; no refund for the current billing month
• Wedding Packages cancelled 60 or more days before the event — 30% refund of total amount paid
• Wedding Packages cancelled 30 to 59 days before the event — no refund, but date may be rescheduled once at no charge subject to availability
• Wedding Packages cancelled fewer than 30 days before the event — no refund

5.2  Craften Studio reserves the right to cancel a confirmed booking in the event of circumstances beyond its reasonable control (force majeure), including but not limited to illness, natural disaster, civil unrest, or equipment failure. In such cases, the Client will be offered a full rescheduling at no charge, or a full refund of all payments made.

5.3  Rescheduling of a confirmed booking is permitted free of charge with a minimum of 48 hours written notice. Rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to a rescheduling fee, to be determined at Craften Studio’s discretion.

5.4  Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 7 to 14 working days of the cancellation being confirmed in writing by Craften Studio. Refunds will be made to the original payment method.

6. Deliverables, Revisions, and Delivery

6.1  Craften Studio will use reasonable professional endeavours to deliver all Deliverables within the timelines stated in the relevant package or agreed in writing at the time of booking. Timelines are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates unless explicitly confirmed as firm deadlines.

6.2  Each package includes a specified number of revision rounds as stated at the time of booking. A revision is defined as a single set of consolidated feedback submitted in writing. Each additional revision round beyond the included number will be charged at ₹999 per round, or as otherwise agreed.

6.3  Deliverables will be shared via online cloud gallery, file transfer link, USB drive (where included in the package), or WhatsApp, as applicable. The Client is responsible for downloading and backing up all Deliverables within 90 days of delivery. Craften Studio is not obligated to store or maintain copies of delivered files beyond 90 days.

6.4  The Client is responsible for reviewing all Deliverables promptly upon receipt and raising any concerns within the revision window. Deliverables are considered approved and finalised if no written feedback is received within 7 days of delivery.

6.5  Craften Studio does not guarantee specific outcomes, results, follower growth, sales conversions, or any other measurable business performance arising from the use of Deliverables. Our commitment is to professional quality creative content — not to business outcomes beyond our control.

7. Client Responsibilities

7.1  The Client shall provide accurate and complete information about the Project requirements, including vision, goals, location, schedule, and any special requirements, prior to the shoot.

7.2  The Client is responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions, permits, and consents for shooting at any location, including private property, public spaces, and venues. Craften Studio shall not be liable for any delays, cancellations, or additional costs arising from the Client’s failure to secure such permissions.

7.3  The Client is responsible for ensuring that all persons who will appear in the Deliverables have provided their informed consent to being photographed or filmed and to the use of their likeness in the agreed deliverables.

7.4  The Client shall not engage in any conduct that is abusive, threatening, or disrespectful towards Craften Studio staff or collaborators. Craften Studio reserves the right to terminate a shoot or Project immediately in such circumstances, without refund.

7.5  Where applicable, the Client shall ensure that props, products, talent, wardrobe, locations, and other Client-supplied elements are ready and available at the agreed time on shoot day. Time lost due to Client unpreparedness may reduce the available shoot time without entitling the Client to a refund or reshoot.

7.6  LASER AND EQUIPMENT SAFETY — The Client acknowledges that laser shows, laser lighting systems, strobe lighting, and similar high-intensity light equipment present a serious and well-documented risk of permanent damage to professional camera sensors and optical equipment. Craften Studio’s team reserves the absolute and unconditional right to cease, pause, or decline to film or photograph any portion of an event or shoot during which laser equipment or other sensor-damaging elements are in operation. This decision rests solely with the Craften Studio team on-site and shall not constitute a breach of contract, a failure to deliver, or grounds for any refund or compensation in respect of that specific segment. Clients who anticipate laser shows, laser lighting, or similar elements at their event must disclose this in writing at the time of booking so that Craften Studio can plan coverage accordingly and advise on safe alternatives where possible.

8. Delivery Timelines

Craften Studio will use its reasonable professional endeavours to deliver all Deliverables within the following standard timelines from the date of shoot completion or final revision approval:

• Edited photographs — 3 to 7 working days
• Short videos and reels (under 90 seconds) — 5 to 10 working days
• Event highlight films — 7 to 14 working days
• Long-form videos and brand films — 10 to 20 working days
• Wedding highlight films — 4 to 6 weeks
• Full wedding documentary films — 6 to 8 weeks

8.1  All timelines stated above are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates unless explicitly confirmed as firm deadlines in writing at the time of booking.

8.2  Timelines may be extended in cases of high revision volume, technical complexity, or circumstances beyond Craften Studio’s reasonable control. The Client will be notified promptly of any anticipated delay.

8.3  Express delivery is available as a paid add-on service (48-hour rush) for eligible project types. Express timelines are confirmed at the time of booking.

9. Subscription Plan Specific Terms

8.1  Monthly subscription plans are billed on a recurring basis. The billing cycle begins on the date the subscription is activated.

8.2  Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time with 7 days written notice prior to the next billing date. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

8.3  Craften Studio offers a pause facility on all subscription plans. Pauses must be requested in writing and are available for a maximum of one calendar month per subscription year.

8.4  Deliverables included in a monthly subscription plan are allocated for that billing month only. Unused shoots, photos, videos, or revision rounds do not roll over to the following month under any circumstance. Clients are encouraged to schedule their monthly shoot promptly after each billing cycle begins.

8.4  Craften Studio reserves the right to adjust subscription pricing with 30 days written notice to active subscribers. Clients may cancel without penalty if they do not accept a pricing change, provided cancellation is requested within 14 days of receiving notice.

10. Confidentiality and NDAs

9.1  Both parties agree to treat as confidential any proprietary information, business strategies, pricing arrangements, or creative concepts shared during the course of a Project.

9.2  Craften Studio’s standard portfolio right under Clause 4.5 applies unless the Client requests confidentiality in writing at the time of booking. Confidentiality requests are acknowledged in writing by Craften Studio and are included in the Project agreement.

9.3  Formal Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are available on request and charged as a separate service. An NDA, once executed, supersedes the standard portfolio right in Clause 4.5 for the duration specified in the NDA.

11. Limitation of Liability

Craften Studio’s total liability to the Client under any circumstances shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Client for the specific Project giving rise to the claim.

10.1  Craften Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity, arising from or in connection with any Service or Deliverable.

10.2  In the event of equipment failure, file corruption, or data loss affecting Deliverables, Craften Studio’s liability shall be limited to offering a reshoot at no additional charge, subject to scheduling availability. Craften Studio cannot guarantee the recovery of lost or corrupted data.

10.3  For wedding and event photography and videography, given the non-repeatable nature of such events, Craften Studio will take all reasonable professional precautions to protect against data loss, including use of backup equipment and redundant storage. In the unlikely event of a total loss of footage due to equipment or technical failure, Craften Studio’s liability shall be limited to a full refund of all payments received.

10.4  Craften Studio shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control (force majeure).

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

11.1  These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including but not limited to the Indian Contract Act, 1872, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Copyright Act, 1957.

11.2  In the event of any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or any Project, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good faith written negotiation within 30 days of the dispute arising.

11.3  If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted in the English language, and the seat of arbitration shall be Kolkata, West Bengal, India.

11.4  Subject to Clause 11.3, the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms.

13. Amendments to These Terms

12.1  Craften Studio reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. The revised Terms will be published on the Craften Studio website with an updated effective date.

12.2  Continued use of Craften Studio’s Services after the publication of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those updated Terms.

12.3  For active Projects and confirmed bookings, the Terms in effect at the time of Booking Confirmation shall apply for the duration of that Project.

14. General Provisions

13.1  These Terms, together with any Project-specific agreement or booking confirmation issued by Craften Studio, constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior discussions, representations, and understandings.

13.2  If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

13.3  Craften Studio’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

13.4  The Client may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party without prior written consent from Craften Studio.

15. Indemnity

15.1  The Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Craften Studio, its founder, collaborators, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Any breach by the Client of these Terms and Conditions
• Any claim that Client-supplied materials, music, branding, products, or content infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Any misuse of Deliverables beyond the scope of the License granted under these Terms
• The Client’s failure to obtain necessary location permits, consents, or third-party rights
• Any misrepresentation made by the Client in connection with a Project
• Any claim by a third party arising from the Client’s use of the Deliverables
